How do you get the smell of cooked fish out of the house?!

Question:

How do you get the smell of cooked fish out of the house?

We enjoy cooking fish but hate the smell in the house afterwards. It doesn't seem to matter that we close the kitchen door to the rest of the house, open the window and the door to the garden - the smell persists.

Is there a candle that does the trick, or does anyone have a better idea?

Answers: You could try this: heat white vinegar in an uncovered pot on the stove (don't boil). Remove after 30 minutes. The light vinegar smell dissipates quickly, taking odors with it. Open a window Open up all the windows, and use a febreeze candle. You could also just spray febreeze / oust. use an air freshner or a scented candle. Try leaving a box of bicarb open, it will absorb the odour (works in a fridge, anyway) it does not take the smells away 100% but there is a plug in machine called perfect air (you should be able to find it on ebay) and this takes away most odours in your house, i have had used one for ages and recommend them Boil some water with a cut up fresh lemon and a few cinnamon sticks in it. It will do the trick.
Make a apple pie, good to eat and a heavenly smell. GUARANTEED TO WORK !!
Put some eucalyptus liquiid....dilute wilth about 50% water and spray anywhere will guarantee to get rid of ANY smells.... place a few saucers with vanilla essence around the house Nothing but time and good venting works. Stop killing yourself over it or cook something else like garlic fries. Make some corned beef and cabbage...
