Which water do you use to wash your vegatables?
i use hot most the times but mum tells me to use cold?
which do u use 2 wash such as: spinach, corainder cauliflower?
Answers: If it's delicate, like lettuce or spinach, definitely cold.
Anything else, you could use warm or hot but I use only cold. There is sediment in hot running water, and who wants that on their veggies?
*To the guy who said coriander is a spice: it is. It's a seed. When you plant the seed, you get cilantro. Some people call it "sprouted coriander" but that's just too long for me. cold I thought coriander was a spice Hard vegetables hot.
soft.... cold.
salads...cold
my boyfriend...warm! cold water cheese always cold
James, coriander is also called cilantro. I like to use hot cause it kills germs. hot water is more likely to have lead in it. boiling water does not get rid of lead. if the veggies are cold, ialso wash them with hot water so they can warm up! cold water .... it will firm it up !!! Well i seen my mom use cold water most of the time.I think using hot water to clean the vegatables is kind of bad.Another thing is that it depends what kind of vegatable you are using. Cold. I'm so sorry about the poster above who has a vegetable for a boyfriend. all vegies and fruits are washed in cold water!!!
hot water makes squishy and dont taste has good
alsohot water doesnt take away the pestisides
in the veggies and fruits Cold water, and your mom is right, hot water affects the texture of some vegetables, specially the root ones. Cold!!! Cold, cold, cold and cold. Always cold use cold!!
theres no need to use hot because the boiling process will kill all bacteria. COLD from the tap - never hot hunni, that's a no no. cold water you better use cold water as your mum said........
because who can know about cooking more than a mum..... cold cold would you like hot water over you especially cauliflower they dont want ears like boxers cold, hot takes more energy. Save energy.
