What foods give you energy?!

Question:

What foods give you energy?

I'm always really tired at school and after lunch I'm close to falling asleep in some of my classes...someone told me that foods with protein, like peanut butter help, and I've been doing that but I don't want to get sick of having that other day.
Also, I don't want to use sugar or caffeine to give me energy, like monster or coffee cuz i dont really think that works and it's not the healthiest choice

Answers: nutella, dates n peaunt butter gives me energy... try eating lots of nuts n whole grain bread sandwhich with vegetables n meat.. n bananas too Have you tried the Crystal Light energy on the go drinks? They're really good. Also try some b12 strips or vitamins. That works really well and is rather inexpensive too. Make sure you get enough sleep. That could be the reason you are so tired in class. 8-11 hours of sleep is good for teens. For breakfast, you should eat foods that have carbs, which gives you energy. Toast, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, etc. are all a good source of carbohydrates. Eat a piece of fruit with your breakfast. Oranges or orange juice is a good source of vitamin C, which will also give you energy. Carbohydrates and protein are the foods that give you the most energy. Also, something that really helps with you being awake in your classes is eating breakfast. So eating a pancake and bread would help a lot. And fiber helps, too. So maybe eat some grapes or something, and the good sugar would help so you wouldn't feel bad about it! carbs and foods with calories mainly..protein helps too...pizza and spaghetti are the best examples for food that gives you energy Don't take anything with caffeine, like red bull or pepsi, but something rich with protein and vitamins, like a bananna or those 5-hour energy shots. (All Natural) Fruit like bananas is good. protein keeps you fuller longer but carbs and natural sugar like in fruit give you energy for hours at a time. eat fruit! it works.
