Have you worked in a restuarant?!

Question:

Have you worked in a restuarant?

And have you ever done anything to somebody's food? I was just wondering because I could never do anything like that. That's absolutely disgusting, so I was wondering, why and how could you do that to somebody's food.

Answers: Unfortunately, I have heard of the cough, the spit, the drop on the floor but no, I have never and would never do that to anyone's food. And if I ever caught someone doing that in my kitchen? I'd call the cops. i have worked as a cook and no i have never done anything horrible to someone's food. that would be atrocious. never did.Never want to. Absolutly not, but we did something to the owners's car Nope never done anything to peoples food, But on occasion there are people that make you want to. Sometimes there are people that are very rude and no matter how nice I was they would yell and swear and complain. I worked at Applebee's for several yrs and never saw anyone mess with a customer's food. I never did either. I was a waitress for twelve years and never once did it occur to me to do anything to someones food no matter how obnoxious or disagreeable they were. I have read various comments in the dinning out section of Y/A and it makes me wonder if this new generation of food servers actually do these things. I haven't personally worked at a restaurant but I heard of a story about a worker that peed in the tuna salad at a deli in New York City. My father used to work at this deli. They sold the tuna salad with no problem and no customers came back to complain about it tasting weird. I also heard that at very busy restaurants, cooks have to work fast and the kitchens are hot, so they usually sweat. My cousin is a chef and he told me that sometimes, under such conditions, sweat would drip from the cook's forehead into the food that they were preparing! Although this case is unintentional, it still happens and cooks can't really control it. Also, the salads at restaurants are almost never washed. And if they are, the job is poorly done. Also, the pots and pans used to cook the food are also poorly washed. My cousin's moral of the story: always order food off the grill, because if there is anything bad in it, then it would be "burned off" anyway. However, the best solution is to cook your own food. There's nothing like a good home-made meal made from scratch using fresh ingredients. At least you know what's in it! I never did. And it was also my job to make sure none of my assistant cooks did either. And I know they wanted to spit in some peoples' food, but I would not let them even though I hated those customers too. Worked there more years than I care to remember. I did NOT mess with people's food but I worked with some pigs that did and therefore WILL NEVER eat where they work or their family members works due to, if they are pigs then they must come from a family of pigs.

Makes me shiver thinking that people are eating what those pigs touch.

Sad isn't it ? ... that there are soooooooooooo many people out there like that.

*cough*hack*

: ( No
