Will keeping an uncut avocado in the fridge extend its life?!

Question:

Will keeping an uncut avocado in the fridge extend its life?

Will it ruin it?

Answers: It won't extend its life or ruin it really...Once it is ripe you can refridgerate it for 2-3 days. They do freeze well though as long as you prep them first.

To freeze avocado, remove the skin and pit and purée the flesh with ? tablespoon of lemon or lime juice per avocado. Pack in an airtight container and freeze for up to five months. Avocado slices and halves do not freeze well.

Hope I helped It will keep it for a little longer although I think the texture changes a little bit in the fridge. Because the pit is still in there it keeps it good. Once opened the oxidization turns it brown so keep the pit on the half that you don't use. it depends on how ripe it is when you buy it. My mom has kept hers in the fridge 2 days. hope this helps. yes it will extend it's life, if it is not ripe yet then you will have to put it in a paper bag first, mmmmmmm i love avacados. no, the fridge will not last any longer no matter how many fruits you store inside of it it will hold better than if it was cut but fruit and veggies tend to go bad fast no matter what
