be so liquid?
I have put it in the refrigerator 'cause one has to and I thought the oils would solidify and thicken it but that's not working. What else can I do?

btw I did toast the bread. the fork's not enough to cut so I'm gonna have to get a knife.

I did stir the almond butter because the oils and matter seperated that helps a little.

I did stir the almond butter because the oils and matter seperated that helps a little. Wow, you poor guy.

Seriously, though. I haven't worked with almond butter that extensively, but I do know that it has a coarser consistency than peanut butter (although sometimes, it can be much thinner); it's meant as a flavoring or filler, rather than as a spread. Of course, there's nothing wrong with eating that way.

A couple of possible cures: toast the bread first. Also, you might try a combination of toasting plus thicker-sliced bread.

Or, try spreading the jelly/jam on BOTH slices of bread before adding the almond butter. Some of the moisture from the jelly (or whatever) will soak into the bread, which will make the sandwich more pliable overall. Try toasting the bread, or using some firmer bread say a rye or whole weat roll instead of slices Place it in a bowl and whip it with a mixer until it's close to creamy. Then put it back in the jar.

My condolences for your sandwich loss.
