Why are eggs not supposed to go in the fridge?
Fridges no longer have a egg tray in them
Answers: i,ve got an egg tray and thats where my eggs go..if you don,t put them in the fridge, eat them quickly ! thats where my eggs go people broke more eggs and created more mess with that tray than anything else in the frig.
Leave them in the carton cos the sperm cant open fridge door keep them in the box then and put them in the fridge.
Ive heard this debate before but I have always kept my eggs in the fridge and there aint nothing wrong with me. Doesn't mean your eggs don't go in there. There is an egg tray in my fridge,Full of eggs. i was wondering this the other day in asda...i saw eggs on the shelf but my mum puts them in the fridge at home...i dont know why if something better could be there instead lol;) Studies have shown eggs should be kept in the original carton from the store until used. They stay fresher, and yes in the frig. I put eggs in my fridge but your right my fridge dosen't have an egg tray either.
I've no idea why though, sorry! Eggs are always supposed to go in the fridge. It's just that when you put your eggs in an eggtray, they break easily, and can contaminate other foods in your fridge with salmonella. Just keep them in the carton. Egg go in the fridge, egg trays looked nice but weren't good to keep eggs in.. They absorbed flavors from other foods more then if they were kept in the carton. i didnt know they werent supposed to be kept in fridge. i always keep mine in fridge. i tell you what you shouldnt keep in fridge though, ............ bananas. My new fridge didn't have an egg tray and I was glad. Occasionally it would get hit, and break one or more. It's just as well to keep them in their original carton to me. I bought a new fridge last week and mine has an egg tray in it.
Thats where i keep them too. Well that is where mine go and it's the only place for them, i think you can buy separate egg trays but i keep mine in there box. Because eggs are chicken periods..
Eww you eat the menstrual cycle of a fowl! Eww!
:D that's where our egg goes newsflash..thats because eggs now come in cartons. Eggs keep better in the egg carton than in an egg tray.
Egg trays were always hard to keep clean. And they didn't make sense. Do you *always* have 22 eggs? If more, then you need to keep some in the carton, some in the door. If less, then you are wasting space that you could be using to store something else.
It's actually optional, whether you refrigerate eggs or not. They'll keep a couple of months at room temperature, and they get better for boiling as they age, but fresh refrigerated eggs will "sit up higher" when you're making fried eggs. my fridge does and its new!!! Because the easily absorb other foods' smells. No, don't put your eggs in the fridge, they take on all the smells and flavours that are in your fridge. If you do, leave them out of the fridge until they get to room temp or they will break when you, say, fry them, I never put mine in the fridge. I buy mine always Free Range and sometimes get rare breed ones like Mabel Pearman's Burford browns or Old Cotswold Legbar... Have always kept eggs in fridge, don't really know why but that is what my mother used to do and my grandmother, just following the trend now:)
