What is consider low sodium if you're folloing a diet?!

Question:

What is consider low sodium if you're folloing a diet?

How much sodium does a tea spoon of table salt as opposed to Kosher salt have?

Answers: The usda is less than 2,400mg a day. For my clients(I`m a personal chef ) on low sodium diets I make each meal under 500mg of sodium, table salt has 2,325mg and kosher salt ( Diamond brand) has 1,120mg sodium. If you would like more information, I can give you severals ways to cut down on sodium without compromising taste. I think they want you to check nutritional labels. For instance many canned soup products i.e. Campbells has some 890 mg of sodium that's almost too much in one day.Through some other salty's on top of that and your probably going to retain fluids and can lead you down the road to hypertention(TOO MUCH BAD FOR YOUR HEART!)Some people get bloated. So just be aware of what's going down the ole gullett. less than 1500mg
