Do you think I should leave the whole wing connected or seperate it for the cook off?!

Question:

Do you think I should leave the whole wing connected or seperate it for the cook off?

Crazy enough....I have plans to participate in a chicken wing on the grill contest. I have already asked for recipe's, but now I have to decide whether to seperate the wing into a drum stick and cut the pointy thing off or leave it whole for the contest.
I have never made wings on the grill, so this should be interesting. Should I seperate the wing or leave the whole thing in tact? Suggestions are helpful since I have never done this before.

Answers: Definitely separate it. It's easier to get the sauce on evenly and easier to eat. Definitely separate it. It would be kind of hard to eat in one piece. (and the wing tip would be kind of gross to leave on there since there really isn't anything edible on the tip). Points to you for entering something you have no experience with...I too scared to enter stuff I think I would be good at!
