Apple pie delicious when warm and accompanied by vannilla ice cream!!! yum!!! tasty - especially if served with ice cream! :) nowheres near as good as a Chocolate Pecan PieOr Peach Cobbler a classic. awesome with a scoop of homemade vanilla icecream from Bluebell!! :) my favorite. is not really an American creation. applelicious YUMMY excellent with buttermilk icecream yummy. Apple pie is the most All-American dessert around.
I like to add a little sour cream and a hint of vanilla to the regular ingredients in the pie.
OK, I've talked myself into making one this weekend. yucky homemade one of my least favorite things on the dessert table at my grandmother's Thanksgiving dinner. the best One of the most versatile pastries on the planet.....we can't even count the number of variations that have been created by cleaver and creative people who have the imagination to experiment....BRAVO PEOPLE! You should be proud! great with cheddar cheese on top! traditional favorites-fruit,pecan,pumpkin and a few new twists. Did you see American Pie? You know my answer. best smothered on your wifes body and licked off with wild abandon.
