How much do you spend on groceries per week if you're single?
I'm wondering how much people generally spend on food each week if they're single with no one else to support, especially those who eat organic or all natural food.
Answers: It really depends on what kind of food your eating. If you buy a lot of name brand junk foods your going to spend a lot. If you buy whole chickens and rice and cut them up and freeze them very little. I think your best bet is spend a little extra, buy fruits, vegetables, boneless skinless chicken breasts, salmon, cereal, milk and maybe a treat to keep you sane, you should spend no more than $20-25 a week. I would also eat out at least 2 times a week, maybe another $15-25 a week. Total being about $35-50 per week. This comes out to less than 200 per month which is not bad at all. Especially since you'll be eating healthy. Good luck. Source(s):
me. I spent roughly $30 per week when I was single, but about 50-60 per week when I shopped exclusively at Wild Oats/Whole foods market. I can't afford those places!
Now I am married with a toddler, and am 3.5 months pregnant, and we can't get out of the store without spending at least $120 per week. Never. just groceries?
about $40-$60.
but sometimes i also order in for supper after work, so it adds a little bit more to my food bill. I am single and groc shopping I spend around 25.00 to 30.00 depends on if there are any sales..Sometimes I stock up and will spend more I almost always spend $65 every two weeks, but that includes dog food, paper products, hygeine products etc.
