Question:

Anyone know of any good online bakeries, or stores that ship their baked goods? i'm looking for a place that

sells cookies or brownies, chocolate or any other sweet treat that sells GOOD stuff, but something different. this christmas is the first time i'll have enough money to give presents to all my family (by household) and i didn't want to be generic and give them something they could easily buy themselves. when i was in hawaii they had these really good shortbread cookies that were half dipped in chocolate but they're $9 for a tiny pack. i want to spend around $30 on a gift tin or box. does your home town have any baked goods that are popular that i could buy from their website? know of any places or do you order from any particular online stores for yourself or gifts for others? i don't want the stuff to be quality and not taste or look cheap. any help is greatly appreciated.

my bad. i just read my question: I DO want the stuff to be quality and not taste cheap. Well I agree with florida gal on Harry and David's for the fruit. Someone sent us a basket last year and I've never had fruit that good.

Here are a couple sites for places in my area that have great, great products..........

Fudge that is out of this world..... http://www.fralingers.com/

Family owned chocolates..best I've ever had............ http://www.auntcharlottescandy.com/...

We order cheese and other things from here all the time...........
http://vermontcandy.com/index.html...

Almost forgot.... a great bakery......
http://www.brownhousebakery.com/index.ht... Junior's cheesecakes in New York City. Maybe King Arthur Flour. Try www.kingarthurflour.com Their pastries and bread are delicious! Harry and David's have wonderful things that make great gifts. Their pears are fabulous! You'll never taste any that are better. Also, they have great baked goods.

Another source is to buy an issue of Southern Living magazine. They have ads that give you good ideas for Christmas Baked goods. Dean&deluca.com
It's pretty expensive, but VERY unique, and they have beautiful seasonal items.
If you are prepared to spend up to $100, you can have a great feast for your family! young specialties. They are also coming out with baked goods, jams and jellies for christmas.
