Answers: I just asked my niece, she's a vegan and she told me that it is in the vegetable class because people don't like to think of it as a fungus!! I got my sister to start eating mushrooms and then she found out they were fungus and refused to eat them anymore!! LOL I love mushrooms!! Wow! Great question!
