Is this still good to eat?!

Question:

Is this still good to eat?

i have some turkey from the deli, the date was 9/16/2007. its been in my fridge. i really want a sandwich but its almost been a month. it doesnt smell, and there's no visible mold or anything. is it ok to eat?

Answers: My boyfriend, who works in a deli, says no way in hell is it safe to eat. Don't even give it to the dog. I wouldn't do it. If you do, make sure you have some Immodium in the house. Good luck! dont eat it. mold could be growing on the inside of it. Deli meat should be kept no longer then three days in your refrigerator. Throw it out after three days.
Only buy the amount you will eat within a couple of days or freeze it for longer use. around here all delies put an experation date on the packaging. no dont eat it. just because you cant see or smell anything doesnt mean its ok to eat. maybe if it was a week old but not a month. you could get really sick!

p.s i work with food! i know my stuff I have no scientific proof to give you, but my basic knowledge would tell me not to eat it. Turkey tends to not have a smell, even when it is bad.

I would throw it out and not chance getting food poisoning. Usually, I won't eat deli turkey past about 5 days. If you cooked a turkey and have leftovers it may last a week.

Yours is a month old...if you eat it, you're asking for food poisoning. no. What's the worst that could happen, food poisoning, little diarrhea, blowing lunch and doubled over in pain......... don't eat it. It's better if you wouldn't, there might be mold inside it or it's better not to so you'll surely not going to be poisoned or anything. I'm thinking it's not good to eat. Just because you can't smell or see anything bad most likely it's got plenty of bacteria on ther by now. Not recommended. delli meat is for people who want fresh cut meat in ur case turkey ..ye wellafter a month nuthing is fresh dont u dare put that in ur mouth seriously other turkey meat is okay after a month becuz its filled with fattning carbs but deli meat is fresh meaning no perservatives.
