also ur supose to keep it in the refregerator right? cuz for sometime it was just sitting in the gurrrrage.

Answers: A bad egg will float in water.

Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom.
Week-old eggs will bob slightly on the bottom.
Three-week old eggs will balance on the small end.
Bad eggs will float on the top.

And yes, you have to refrigerate eggs.
Sitting in the garage for an hour or so won't hurt them, but overnight is too long.

A THOUGHT: Maybe it was so hot in your garage that it cooked the egg! its rotten!!! yeah, you're suppose to keep it in a fridge, and even at that, not for very long, after all, you are looking at an unfertilized chicken fetus

id say its probably bad if you leave it out for more than a day or two when it comes to dairy products i always follow the when in doubt throw it out... lol.... usually when they are bad they do have an odor... if you think it is bad don't eat it!! eggs are suppost to be refrigerated all the time except when in use.if they been sitting out i wouldnt trust them Eggs should always be kept in the fridge. You run a high risk of salmonella poisoning if you don't.

You can test an egg for freshness by putting it into a cup or a bowl of water. If you see air bubbles escaping it's not a fresh egg. With the yolk solid and orange, you definately had a bad egg. You can tell by the looks of the egg and if the other part looks funny and not runny you have a bad egg. Smell will not help you as much as looks. If it looks funny and all that I have mentioned, get it out of your garage and into the refregerator and you will have good eggs but watch for how long you keep them. Two weeks is about enough. 3 and you may get bad eggs.
