Question:

Can I use Tobasco Sauce instead of Cayenne Pepper?

Well Im making chili and it says to use cayenne pepper but I dnt have any. Can I use Tobasco Sauce instead?

Answers: Yes. It'll change the taste a bit because of the salt and vinegar in Tabasco. But there aren't a whole lot of ways to hurt Chili. Sure. I always use Tabasco. It tastes a little different, but it's good. you can use tabasco sauce but your chilli will not be as spicy as it would be if made with cayenne pepper Tobasco has a lot of vinegar in it, so I wouldn't. You could mince fresh jalapenos, or try using chili powder & cumin
