I got some more off and then heard ice come out of the ice machine and got more out of it. Is this a bag of ice.. ?? that became a block of ice?

or are u referring to a ice maker?

Is the ice frozen inside of the ice box?
They said get an ice pick...
if it is frozen inside the freezer, then u can use a hammer,

if it is a bag of ice and u just want to break it into pieces.. then put a towel around it and drop it hard on the floor or concrete.. it may take several tries,.
hope this helps.. Get an ice pick. Use an Ice Pick! By the way....good Sharon Stone movie....."Basic Instinct"............the killer used an ice pick! a hammer? A short, thin bladed, strong knife (NOT A FOLDING KNIFE) or a phillips screwdriver or an awl can be used as an ice pick.

Bert After you make the ice cubes, you need to make sure the cube is nice and dry without water on the surface before you putting them in freezer. In doing so, it will prevent the ice to stick together as a big block. Once it became a block of ice, you need an ice picker, and hammer to break it.
