O_O is peanutbutter vegan?!
Answers: I was chewing on vegan crackers with a little bit of peanut butter on them that my friend / "brother"/ guy / owner / thing made for me, when I wondered, "is peanutbutter vegan?" and for those of you that think this is a stupid question: you'd be surprised at how many things that have animal based ingredients in that you'd never expect..
The only stupid questions are the ones not asked.....
All natural peanut butters, in other words peanut butters that are made strictly from peanuts (and maybe some salt) are vegan. Honey roasted are not, since honey is manufactured by bees, thus considered an animal product. Commercial peant butters contain added oils...most are vegetable based but are trans-fats and you want to avoid this as well, right? the only way to be sure is to either eat PB you purchase yourself from a health food store or make it yourself....very simple to do with a good food processer.
Any vegan questions, you can e-mail me. I am not vegan/vegetarian myself but two of my four kids are and have friends who are so I'm used to cooking this way when it's called for..

Read the label for ingredients. Most likely, it is vegan. Get the all natural kind that separates and it is for sure vegan.
Have you read the ingredients?
Well, you'd just have to read the different labels on different brands.
Some use peanut oil, some use other oils.
And since your at this "vegan only" kick, better read the labels on your make-up, soap, etc.....
I'm sure since you have access to a computer, you can find out exactly what certain oils, are made of.
I believe PB it vegan, I use a lot of vegan recipes and it calls for PB so I think you are good!!
yes it's vegan. If you read the ingredients, 99% of peanut butter will only have three ingredients....peanuts, peanut oil, and sugar (some will list salt also). None of those come from animal products. I've heard soybutter is good too for those allergic to peanuts and soybutter would also be vegan as it's made from soybeans. Have fun!
that last one is great. but seriously lol aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh... dead babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
You answered your own question read the label.
All of the peanut butter I buy is Vegan. (I can't say all peanut butter for sure is) If you are in doubt buy all natural peanut butter. All natural has nothing added it is just roasted peanuts ground up. At my local heath food store they have a machine that will grind it fresh....just keep it in the fridge.
Depends on if its all natural peanut butter or not. Since peanut butter is usually made with vegetable oil, and most vegetable oil comes from corn, I'd say that it probably would qualify as vegan. And because Peanuts are not nuts, in that they are actually a legume and do not grow on trees and aren't seedlings, it would be a vegan food product. Keep in mind however, that if its not natural peanut butter or you didn't make the peanut butter yourself, there's not really a way to know what kind of vegetable oil or if any other products were used in making it. Check the labels and double check the manufacture, or make it yourself to be sure.
