Can you steam food in a regular pot?!
Answers: I want to steam frozen dumplings do I need a special pot/steamer?
I use a metal colandar that will fit in the pot but won't reach the level of water in it... sit it in th pot with a few inches of water, cover (it doesn't have to be a tight seal), and simmer. Watch that the water doesn't cook down completely.
You can steam in any pot if you have the little steamer thing. It kind of looks like a flower it opens up with a bunch of holes in it. There a ***** to clean tho if you use it for chicken or something like that.
Absolutely, Just purchase a veggie steamer (Just like what the first guy was talking about) add water just to the base of the steamer. Make sure to cover turn on medium heat, and steam until you reach desired tenderness. :)
No, just water and **** the lid.
Yes you can, get one of those steamer things with the holes in the bottom. Open it up and put it in the bottom of the pot. Fill it with water, just enough to touch the bottom of the steamer thing. Cook it on medium heat and put a lid on it. Watch it cause it will probaly cook your dumplings pretty quickly.
I'm a terrible cook! I wouldn't even begin to answer your question :) Sorry I failed ya!
