Binge eating?!
Answers: If I have a couple of sweets, I then end up eating half or a whole pack or if I eat a chocolate bar, I end up eating like 3 in a row. What can I do?
It is better to eat 3 once a week, than 2 candy bars 4x per week.
If you are going to raise your calories that much, do it only once per week. You won't gain as much weight.
The secret is to not buy larger amounts, no matter what kind of savings you get. Just buy one candy bar.
I used to binge-eat when I was young (21)...Once I ate 3 burrito supremes, and 6 cream-filled donuts in one sitting. I can hardly eat ONE burrito now, without getting full.
There are several issues that create binging:
1. Eating disorders are often caused because you feel controlled by your family.
2. Binging can also be a temporary consolation for loneliness or depression or anxiety.
3. Are you getting enough NUTRITION? Take a good multivitamin every night before you go to bed. When you eat junk food, your body CRAVES more food, because even though you are full, your body needs more nutrients, so you keep on eating.
Try eating a hard fruit of vegetable 3x per day. This makes you feel full (apple, celery, carrot), and with the multivitamin, your body won't crave more food.
Also, if you drink coffee, drink it EVERY day, at the same time. If you drink caffeine only every few days, sometimes, your body craves the caffeine in chocolate, or craves sweets to get that same energy jolt. I found that when I crave chocolate, I am most likely just wanting caffeine.

Dont binge eat! its dangerous. If you get addicted to binge eating you could end up really sick and pass away. I would just excerise to burn off the calories. Do it the healthy way. Binge eating can cuase you to lose hair. Its not good for your health.
It's a mental/emotional problem. Compulsive behavior. If it is really out of control you should talk to a mental health professional. Normally a healthy balanced person will have a serving and maybe a bit more then be satisfied and not want more. A compulsive person cannot stop even when full or sick they keep eating. Seek Help.
Associate ur sweets with something you don't like. It works

There is a chemical reaction that is created when one eats chocolate.You crave the feeling more than the sweets.
Oh and britbrat you need to know all that puking causes acid to eat away at your esophagus so eventually you can only drink your food.
It ain't pretty.You might reconsider what you're doing.
If you go get a few sweets, take them out of the packet but then put the rest of the pack back in the cupboard. Close the cupboard door and go into a totally different room to eat the sweets you took.
In doing this, you can detatch yourself from any association with the remaining sweets, whilst you always take your attention away from them.
If you sit with the packet next you and only intend on eating a few, it very rarely happens ;)

you can't see the effects yet when youre still young, but once you get older each day, your metabolism starts to slow down that means you'll get lbs of fats building up every single day. you should pay attention to what you put in your mouth and try savoring each bite. you will eventually feel full by doing so easily. being young allows you to do others stuffs, distract yourself by doing something else, like play sports perhaps, if the feeling gets at you, at least get a bite or two but dont let binge eating overpower you.
