Do you think I can make a living selling cookies, cake and candy on Ebay?!
If you get your own website, attach a blog where you can talk about your products, and link to other gourmet food websites, you can control information about your product and therefore making sales. You would have to pay for whatever certifications your state requires and maybe some retailers insurance (once you start making sales), but you can at least post your certifications on your own website, and this lends to your credibility.
You can get an e-commerce website for a minimum investment of $50. Ebay fees can cost you that much and more.
Answers: For something like food, I suggest investing money in your own gourmet food e-commerce website. Ebay is a huge market place and as a retailer, you're mixed in with the good, bad, and the ugly, and this can negatively impact your sales and reputation.

You might, especially if you make gift baskets.
I wish you luck :)
No, personally I think it's basic food hygeine not to buy it.
it works for the girlscouts
You'd have to check on interstate sales of baked goods. I personally wouldn't buy from an Ebay site but maybe a regular business. Check on Ebay for others doing the same.
Anything is possible, but when it comes to items you eat, there may be health and legal issues involved.
nope
On Ebay you'd be taking a chance of having someone bid awful low on a product you took a long time to make. You could lose money. What would be better is if you created your own small business and have someone design a page for you for people to see your products and be able to place their orders online. It may be a little pricey at first, but at least you can write off your expenses instead of taking a potential loss from a low bid. I wish you luck. My son just started culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu! He's taking the patisserie and baking class.
