How much do you pay for cheese in your city?!

Question: I just bought a pound of Land of Lakes American cheese 2 days ago (not on sale) and it was 7.59 for the pound. When I buy gourmet cheese, it's running me almost 10 dollars a pound (and I love cheese). The cost of dairy has gone up more than gas prices. I just saw a news special on this last Monday.

He has his own measurement system...a "thing" of cheese---love it!

For a two pound thing of cheddar I won't pay more than 5 bucks.
For the cheap stuff around $5, but for the good stuff (tillamook) it'll run you anywhere from $8-$15. Its rediculous!! And if you think cheese is bad, I was at the store yesterday and they were charging $5.49 for an 18 count of EGGS!!!! FREAKING EGGS!!!! Remember when eggs were a dollar a dozen!?!?!?!?!?! NOT ANYMORE!!!
I don't live in a city but in my village the goat won't let you get near it for less than a carrot and a pat on the head. That's just for cheese, if you want "favours" then you have to put GHB in the carrot.
