Snickers back to Marathon?!
Answers: Now that Cadbury has bowed to consumer pressure and reintroduced Wispa, isn't it time to lobby for Snickers to be renamed Marathon? I've never been able to accept the change.
Yes its a shame everything is going metric.
I'me a smartie.
Yay! can we have opal fruits back instead of starburst too?
Definately
Definitely its never tasted right since the change over.
Yes indeed and bring back spangles!!!!!
Wispa was a lost product now returning. Marathon is an old favourite never lost, only renamed. We all know the name change. The very young only know Marathon, I don`t think they?d like it.
Agree!!! that is the EEc for you..........we had to change all these names for the european countries..............well.......i still cal snickers marathon and starburst opel fruits................and on and on............
No, never heard of marathon.
I never fancied a Snickers with a cuppa but I always loved a Marathon with one.
WOW they're reintroducing wispa, nice one well ya learn summat new everyday. Not fussed tbh what its called,Tastes the same they just shrink things when they rename em. :)
Yes..... what a crap name "Snickers"..... sounds like a mouldy pair of trainers.
I used to eat Marathons.... I never bought a Snickers...
Yes I agree, and they should also make them 18p as they used to be. Scandalous.
Oh, and Discos crisps.
At least we still have blackjacks
snickers back to marathon and
star burst to opal fruits
cif to jif
veet to immac
and in future leave our UK names alone!
I've been too embarrased to ask for that bar which I used to enjoy since it 's name is too near knickers!
I agree, I still call them Marathon
Get yourself a girlfriend.
a coke n a snickers please? does it sound right? dont think so.
OK, see when I was a kid there was a Marathon bar, it look like a long piece of braided carmel covered in Chocolate. The Marathon name is taken by that yummy item from my past which someday must return.
Does it really matter what's called? I'd be more worried if they change the recipe, after all: A rose by any other name...
Marathon all day. Snickers is a dumb name and I see no good reason why we had to change it in the first place! Same as all the other name changes. Probably only changed it because Americans were confused when they came here... bless them.
Bring back marathon and opal fruits
Snickers, has been Snickers in the USA, where it was invented, since day 1, so you might want to rethink that one. It is manufactured by M&M/Mars, not by Cadbury, and it was only ever called 'Marathon' in the UK and Ireland.
