What is the best type of cheese?!

Question: I can't decide

Answers: I can't decide
Fun question.

What are you using it for?

As with most products, the cheese that's most versatile--best to use in a lot of situations--is going to taste pretty bland by itself. That's what lets it go with a lot of ingredients and iun a lot of recipes.

So there's four answers--
I. weak in flavor and very versatile
II. somewhat in flavor but stronger than the first
III. somewhat strong in flavor
IV. stronger than the other sorts and not very versatile

No one's answers will be the same to your question.
But for # One, I'd choose Monterrey Jack
for # Two I'd pick butter kaese or Muenster
for # Three I'd pick Provolone or Colby Cheddar
for # Four I'd pick a favored Swiss, or bleu cheese, but
for me a Jarlsberg Swiss
Cheddar.
We just had a wonderful Dubliner cheese from Ireland, available in the states. It's a hard cheese with a texture like swiss, only a little bit harder, but not brittle. The taste is something that I never tasted before. It's cheese, but not like any other cheese you may have ever tasted. I can't even describe it because no other cheese comes close. It is mild, not stinky.
It depends what you want to do with the cheese:

1. Goat cheese is great w/ salads/ walnuts , cranberries
2. Mozzarella: Pizza:)
3. Provolone: Sandwiches/ nice to melt
4. Cheddar: makes everything better: great for serving with crackers
5. Feta: Salads or egg omelets w/ tomatoes
6. Brie: Crackers blah I don't like it
7. Blue Cheese: Salads: Buffalo wings
8. Jack cheese: shredded: tacos
9. Havarti: I like in sandwiches
10. Parmesan: PASTA:)

I can't think of any other cheeses
I'd say Parmesan Cheese. Not too strong at all but it definitely has flavour. It is nice on pasta dishes as well as on biscuits and pizza.
Do you mean best type? Some think that is Old AgeCheddar others think Ghoodda but for me I like Danish Blue cheese or Habenaro cheese
sometimes I blend them together.
For what? I like all kinds. On crackers I like cheddar, swiss, brie, or blue cheese. On pizza or in Italian dishes I like mozarella and parmesan. But if I had to pick an out-right favorite, I would choose swiss.
coby, longhorn, sharp cheddar, these cheeses taste really good with apples.
Munster or Havarti
havarti
mature cheddar
