I don't think it's weird, people put ketchup on chips and they are potatoes too. I used to love cheese on toast with tomato ketchup :)

I never understood the ketchup and potatoes thing... or eggs. My family used to put ketchup w/ fried or baked potatoes or hashbrowns. I didn't like it. They also put it on their scrambled eggs. Ketchup is too sweet.. I did though like one weird thing. I like tartar sauce with corn dogs... no one I knew liked that. I don't eat it much, thank god. But I think it is yummy.
