Is V8 good for you? I like Spicy V8. I know it's high in sodium, but I still like it. One glass a day?!
Answers: usually. I love the spiciness. Should I cut it out altogether? I know it's not good for the blood pressure, etc.
I wouldn't worry about the sodium since you are getting your serving of vegetables and fiber with V8.
I've never worried too much about sodium, and I've always had perfect blood pressure.

If high blood pressure or cholesterol runs in your family, or you have it, I would suggest you drink low sodium V8 and add some cayenne pepper to jazz it up. Or if you don't, you can continue to drink it, but it should definitely be in moderation.
the salts not good other then that its really good a serving of vegetables . try to eat less sodium in every thing else or get low sodium v8 and add Tabasco
They have a low sodium V8. You can add Tabasco to your taste. Salt isn't bad for you unless you already have heart or blood pressur problems..
Vegetable juice, specifically tomato juice has lycopene, an antioxidant which among other things might help protect against cancer.
Its good for you, but don't replace it as your source of vegetables for the day. Have it in addition.
Yes, it's high in sodium as you said but it's loaded with lost of good stuff. Just make sure, that you drink a lot of water each day so it can eliminate a lot of the sodium. If you have high blood pressure, forget about this drink.
I'm not sure if it is good for you but I like it a lot and even have it with my beer for my own version of 'red beer'.
Yea, the V8 is still good for you. While the sodium is on the higher side, its nothing like potato chips, or alot of processed foods.
The only time you really need to worry about sodium is if you have high blood pressure, or if it runs in your family. If you're really concerned, make more of an effort to drink water, which will help flush out the sodium, or eat foods high in potassium. Potassium helps balance out the effects of sodium.
I wouldn't call it a "health" food/drink, yeah it's got vegetables in it like fruit juice has fruit. Hardly a replacement for eating vegetables. Besides the sodium it's not bad for you either. Unless you have high B/P or weight issues, a glass or 2 a day won't hurt you :)
