Answers: It absolutely disgusts me when I can hear the food sliding down their gullets while they continue to talk about the dish. That Giada is the worst offender for this. And Paul Deen is so gross, I can't watch her show - she's always putting her sticky wet fingers into the food.
Giada has not eaten a gross thing she hasn't made that she didn't like. I'm tired of the orgasmic look these women give when they eat food. Ever watch Rachael Ray's $40 a day, you could feed her **** on bread and she would make the face like she was eating the nectar of the gods.

YES!! I'm so glad someone else noticed this. I don't like seeing anyone eat on TV--but talking through it is the worst. At least Emeril gives the food to others to taste and only tastes it for seasoning.
Rachel Ray is pretty bad, too...her "bites" are enormous, it's like watching a python swallow a calf.
I had to laugh at the second and third answers you got. Rachael Ray does seem to pig out whenever she takes a bite. As for Paula Deen, I guess she does what she does because she's cooking from her own home. What we do in the privacy of our own home doesn't always look the best on screen.

Giada is the worst of all! I can't stand watching her eat. I don't mind the others as much but I totally understand what you are saying and agree. I love the food network but avoid Giada's shows. Beside the bad talking while eating habit, I am tired of looking at her bare chest & cleavage. She keeps getting more shows but I don't know of anyone that likes her. Someone must.
Yes, and that's why I seldom watch any of those shows. I swear that those people act like they're having their last meal, the way the attack the food. I think Paula's the worst, though, especially after seeing her Thanksgiving special. And here she is, enjoying a square:

OK, it annoys me when Giada goes gaga over her own food, but.....she's sooooo freakin hot, doncha love those low cut tops, and her recipes are awesome.
As for the "queen of eating alone" ...might as well be ghengis khan, her personna does nothing for me, I have never said "yummo" about anything, nor do I know anyone that has.
Emeril is #1 in my book.
