Why do I still get crumbs coming out of the bottom of my toaster even with the crumb tray slotted in?!
Just learn to live with it or use bagels which aren't as crumby.
You have to wipe up the counter anyway when you get done laying the butter knife on the counter after you butter your bread. And then there is the jelly on the counter, too.
I can never put jelly on my toast without some dropping off the knife onto the counter.
Uggg!
Anyway, maybe the toaster just needs to be cleaned out. Unplug it, turn it upside down over the sink and shake it. All the loose crumbs will fall into the sink and you can wash them down the drain.
Answers: Bread is pretty crumby isn't it.

tray not made to fit properly, you should sue
Crumbs may be clinging to the coils in your toaster.
don't sue(like the other users comment/suggestion said) , try putting the tray in a different way, if it doesn't work right return it suing is just going overboard
They possibly could be a hole in the crumb tray. If i were you i would go to a store bring the crumb tray with you and show it to them and they will probably fit it for you.
Crumbs come from the toast as you lift it out. Try using bread without crumbs!!
because you probably got it at Satanmart er.. walmart whatever... try buying one for more then a dollar..
I have it too. So when u make toast when your done take the tray out and rinse all the crumbs off. Your be suprise how it'll work. Or if ya already do that make sure it's in all the way. ~miranda~
I know... they get everywhere don't bother about it I don't. Does it really matter a few crumbs on the work top ...
During toasting, it is possible that crumbs will stick to the coils or what holds the bread while it toasts and may stay there until it cools. Removing the tray most likely means giving your toaster even just a little shake, which can jar those crumbs from what they were stuck to. Also, removing the tray might be shaky enough to knock crumbs out and back into the toaster.
Have you emptied it lately? Very well could be full of crumbs.
The wonders of modern technology have allowed us mere mortals the luxury of emptying the crumb tray sometimes. It's very simple, remove from tray from slot and carry to a disposal unit. quickly rotate your wrist ( the one attached to the hand carrying offending crumb tray),over said disposal unit ( DO NOT LET GO OF TRAY!)and the crumbs will transfer from tray to unit. AH, the miracle of science...
Is it cos you is a mucky pup, like me, I always have to wipe down the top after I use the toaster!
