Whats the point of putting cheese on a cheeseburger?!

I've often wondered the same thing myself. Cause the cheese is untasteable. If the cheese used were of a stronger variety than American cheese, maybe it would be better. Like Agged cheddar.
Put on extra cheese.
If you put cheese on a cheeseburger, isn't that just extra cheese? I put cheese on hamburgers and I can taste the cheese just fine.
Maybe you're using the wrong cheese or not enough.
I'm sure you've had American, try Swiss. Put a couple slices on there, you'll see the difference.

It makes it taste good. If you can barely taste it then you are not putting enough on it.
To pacifically distinguish it from a hamburger. Order extra cheese on your cheeseburger or add it yourself.
No point at all if you can't taste the stuff. But if you really want to taste the cheese try doubling the quantity and make sure it's sharp cheddar.
The answer is....most people taste the cheese. Why you don't is something I can't know. So if you dont taste the cheese dont order cheeseburgers. Simple.
why would you put cheese on a cheese burger? anyways, i would much rather eat a cheeseburger than a hamburger. especially off the mcDonalds $ menu.
But if you take the cheese off, it won't taste the same...................
There is no point to putting cheese on a cheeseburger if you can barely taste the cheese.
