What kind of food gives you lots of energy for breakfeast?!

Question: something to cook or even something handy to eat on the way to work...

Answers: something to cook or even something handy to eat on the way to work...

The ideal breakfast contains protein, fat, and carbohydrates. The problem with that bagel is that it's mostly refined carbs, with no fat and little protein.
Although all food gives you energy, protein-rich foods keep you going longer because protein slows your body's absorption of carbohydrates. What's more, protein tempers blood sugar fluctuations, preventing the spikes and crashes that can leave you hungry and drained. Choose lean sources of protein for breakfast, like soymilk and tofu. Also, consider beans (think breakfast burrito). Not only do beans contain important B vitamins, which enable you to think more clearly, but they also offer plenty of fiber, Fiber stabilizes your blood sugar, keeping your energy level even, and adds bulk to fill you up.
Including fat at breakfast is important, because your body needs fat to function properly, and fat helps you feel full. Your best fat choices are the heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, like nuts, olive oil, and avocados. Flaxseeds, rich in omega-3 fats, are a wise choice as well.

Oatmeal.

Oatmeal is wheat and grains= carbohydrates= energy and a lot of it.

Protein too. So maybe some toast with peanut butter or bacon.

Very Easy my friend.I actually workout. Eat protein on the go and for breakfast, have Oatmeal (no sugar) with Smart start cereal and some cottage cheese IT WORKS!!!

They say an apple is better at waking you up than a cup of coffee.

P*s*y!!!! Instant energy no matter the time!

Macdonald's coffee and hash brown.

CEREAL BAR

Eggs, lighty buttered toast, and most importantly some Tea or a little coffee.
Usualy i have a slice of roast beef or turkey wiht that.

High protein will give you the energy to get you through to lunch. When i am in a big hurry, I go to McDonald's and get two Egg McMuffins, take the meat and egg, and cheese out of one and make myself a double.

Grab some fruit. On good days, I grab a couple of bananas. On bad days, I eat Cocoa Pebbles. Cocoa Pebbles usually find me looking for a nap shortly thereafter. STAY AWAY FROM THE COCOA PEBBLES if you're looking for energy.

I'm told that apples give you just as much of a energy jolt at coffee and that they include lots of what you need to get going in the morning. I still have my morning coffee, two cream, two sugar, and dont eat for the 1st four hours the same way hunter/gatherers did a 6-7 thousand years ago.

First thing you should do upon waking is drink water! Really.

Oatmeal is one of the perfect foods. Try that and some whole grain toast and some fresh fruit.

orange juice

Alpen musli with yogurt and honey and a big glass of freshly squeezed orange juice

A good athlete will load up on Oat Meal... and Toast... To me it will carry you through till way past lunch.... On the way to work... Nothing is any greater than a fresh cold apple... Good luck and have a great day Grant M in Pennsylvania
