Waht is your favorite type of apple?!
Answers: I was just thinking about my trip to the grocery store last night and how I was disappointed that they didn't have my favorite Jonagolds, and I am bored, wondering what other favorites are? I personally have never liked red apples.
Braeburns. A little tart and crunchy! I hate mushy apples.

Green apples.
Jonagolds are Jonathan/Golden apple hybrids. You could try either of those. I prefer Jonathan apples for baking and eating!

My favorite type of apple is the Gala apple. My whole family likes them.

I believe the all-time favorite is McIntosh , but they bruise very easily , so they were hybridized with a somewhat firmer apple to produce the Courtland . The same good flavor , but a little more firm . I wish I had one right now .

All apples are good (well, except for red delicious--but they can be good if they are fresh and there are more than one variety of red delicious!) Galas are great mixed with a horseradish sauce or straight up eating. Braeburns and Granny Smith are comparable and best for eating out of hand, with cheese trays and the best "yessamee" apple pies!! Pink Ladys are tasty, gingergold are outstanding and sweet and juicy. Jonagolds are good and make excellent applesauce.
