Is it okay to eat fruit after 3 pm?!

Question: My coach recently told me that it's bad to eat fruit after 3 pm because your body just turns it all into to sugar. Is this true?

Fruit does have a great deal of sugar in it, but you body isn't turning it into sugar. It already exists as sugar. These ideas about time and eating are invariably false.

I did a quick search on"fruit after 3pm". It was a bunch of random people making this statement. There were no nutritionists or doctors making the statement. So, I would take it as a myth. People believe lots of dumb things like, "don't eat at night since it all turns to fat". Eating at night is no different than eating during the day. If you eat more calories than you burn, then you will gain weight. So, if you eat another meal at 11pm before bed, and you are eating too much, then it will become fat.

yes he's right, fruit contains a large amount of natural sugars.

No. U r supposed to eat 5 servings of fruit of day because it is good for u all day. And ur body has no clock and doesnt reverse it's functions based on what time it is. Duh.

It's better to eat fruit earlier in the day, like right when you wake up, for that reason. It's like eating a big breakfast is good because you slept 8 hours and now you need to get some energy. Your coach is somewhat right, although you can eat some fruits after 3pm without worrying about it. Also, the sugar in fruits are all natural sugar, not processed. It's really up to you

yes its ok the thing is your coach is wrong u shouldnt eat fruit after seven cause it all turns into fat so keep that in mind !

Generally, carbs and sugars are needed earlier in the day for the sake of energy (or before one is going to burn it off.) But a piece of fruit after 3pm is OK. People who eat a lot of carbs later in the afternoon and evening (pastas, fruit, juice, etc.) and who are not going to be exercising or working the energy off are the ones who will see it turn to excess pounds (in time). But you should be OK.

no eat it when ever you want to it good for you
