Maple syrup: which is better - dark amber or light amber?!

Question: I am ordering some maple syrup from a local farm. What's the difference between dark vs. light amber? Do they taste different? Any recommendations?

There is a difference - it's all about how strong the maple flavour is. Lighter syrups are mild - they're better for those with delicate taste buds, or those not used to this flavour, in which case dark might be a little overpowering. Grade A dark is bolder in flavour and better for Maple Syrup lovers. Grade B syrup is aquired in the later season and is the boldest of all of them - it's usually best for cooking with, but those who really really love maple syrup will be happy to pour it on their pancakes.

Dark Amber or Grade B. Not only is it less expensive than Grade A or Light Amber - but it has a lot more flavor!
The lighter one really doesn't have much flava and is just sweet!
.

I prefer the light amber - very tasty stuff.

they are just different in names but tasting i cant tell apart...
but if you go for the high priced one then ..you can get that one by looking at which one is more costy....
And it depends on what you are eating it on ....i love both on toasted breads ....just try all and see which one will culpture ur taste.

Grade A sounds like it's better, but Grade B is actually better for pancakes, waffles, etc. There's more maple flavour in the B grade.

i love both

Absolutely love Maple syrup, don't mind if it's dark or light.
