Whole wheat bread in the refrigerator. 2 Months past freshness date. OK to eat?!

Question: I usually keep my bread in the refrigerator. I have this loaf of whole wheat bread that has been in the fridge for probably 2 or 3 months. I was about to throw it out, but it's still pretty soft, has no mold, and smells fresh. What do you think?

Hmm.
$300 ER bill (food poisoning) or
$3 for a new loaf of bread

I'd say get a new loaf of bread.

Don't eat it if its been in there for so long.

Just because you can't see or smell the mold doesn't mean there isn't any. I wouldn't risk it - even though bread keeps longer in the fridge, I think 2 months past the best before date is pushing it.

Go for it.

no

I'd probably go it if it was my bread in my fridge! But I wouldn't admit it to anyone else ;)

no

OMG throw it out

WOW--no way... throw away!!!

If there is no visible mold and no off aroma or flavor then it should be okay to ingest.

I'd toss it. 3 months is a long time.

If you can seriously ask that question I think it's fine for you.
