Why is breakfast said to be the most important meal??!


Question: Because it's the first meal after 7 hours of not eating overnight. If you don't eat a proper breakfast, chances are you'll snack on junk, or you starve yourself till lunch and it'd have been 12 hours between the time you've gone to bed till you eat at lunch.

You may think not eating is good, but the body doesn't. When you drastically cut down your caloric intake, your body interprets this as you going through starvation and hard times and try to compensate and save energy by slowing down metabolism. When this happens, you feel weak and lethargic, and feel down, depressed and grumpy.

Not a great way to start the day when you can have a nice bowl of porridge.

Because it gives you energy you need for the day.

Tink about it if you don't have a first meal for a prolonged period of time you will die of malnutrion

gives u energy but also helps start your metabolism for the day- so you can burn off energy from the food quicker- thats why people who skip breakfast can actually put on weight.

Because it boosts your energy levels first thing and stops your blood sugar levels dropping later which causes tiredness xx

It's called breakfast because it means breaking the fast.Self explanatory really,you've been asleep all night and not eaten anything for a good few hours.Eating breakfast starts up your metabolism and gives you energy to work through the day.The better the breakfast the more energy mentally and physically you'll have.

After waking it's fuel for the body... the first fuel of the day.

Because it is the meal that is totally expended by days end. You should only eat a small lunch to be honest and a healthy breakfast. What you eat for breakfast is what your body uses for the part of the day when you tax your body the most. Thats why.... so eat your wheaties! LOL

P.S..... K2 up above has it all figured out and laid out for ya! Couldnt have put it so detailed myself. Anyway... thats why farmers and people who use alot of energy during the day tend to eat a large breakfast. Thats exactly why.

i guess wut they said but i only have it if theres something good.

when you have breakfast you use it as fuel , if you didnt then your body works on empty, apart from the risk of snacking on junk to curb this
f your body thinks it has to work on empty it basically thinks its starving .... so it holds on to the fat stores, which are its emergency stores in case it needs them in the future.
so your end up walking around in a body of wasting muscle, storing fat. not healthy and so you will feel it , weak and crabby.

and if you eat at night you go to sleep with a belly full of food that wont be burnt off the same as if you were awake. your digestive works need to sleep too .

we need alot of energy to start a day and just helps to be more pleasant than without it you get to feel tired , sleepy ...feeling sick and all that Doh!!

Eating breakfast gets your body going for the day, and having a meal 1st thing in the morning is good for your metabalism.

If you eat breakfast your stomach is already working, if you don't have breakfast and usually wait until lunch then your body infact finds it twice as hard to digest lunch.

It gives you energy for the day. Possibly true, but it doesn't work for me. If I eat breakfast, I'm hungry be lunch time and then I have to eat dinner too. I normally survive on a cup of green tea and maybe a glass of multi-vitamin juice 'till about 6.00 p.m. - then I eat dinner (low on carbohydrates).

It is compared to gas for your car.
It gets us started without sputtering and spewing.
