Bread and mold...?!
Answers: my bread will grow mold on it in less than a week. how can i keep my bread longer?
put it in the fridge. or better yet freeze it and take out what you need, when you need it and toast it as you need it.
I dnt know if it works or not but whenever i go ova to muh grandma's house she always have bread in the freezer &nd she always have alot of bread to eat so i guess that works !
try freezing it. or put it in a less moist space..
I keep mine in the freezer so I don't have to worry about the mold. I just take out what I need as I need it. Bread thaws rather quickly or it can be toasted.
Close the bag tight with a clothes pin in between, and white bread will go bad way sooner than any of the wheats or oat nuts, etc....keep in a cool dry place also.
Buy plain white bread beause it has more preservatives. also check the moisture control on your fridge. It may be too moist in there. You could also try freezing it and taking it out only when you need a slice or two and then popping it back in.
when you buy your bread, make sure the expiration date is faraway, and keep in a safe, dry place.in refegirator,or in the freezer if there is alot of bread.
Just don't leave it out like most breads especially if it is very soft it is even more prone leave it in the fridge so the mold won't get to it. Don't leave it in direct sunlight for a long time as well. And don't let too much air in because sliced breads are full of air already and that's why they spoil quicker and too much air can mean mold and other living organisms on your food.
Freeze it, and when your ready to eat it don't let any air fill the bag. Also check the date, before you buy it.
put it in the refrigerator or put it somewhere that the sunlight cant make it moist
put it in the refridgerator or the freezer so it can last longer. Not that much moisture. and check the date too. my mother always does this
See what your usage is. Keep some in the freezer. Defrost when necessary. Any bread that is not used can be turned into breadcrumbs.
When it gets stale, but before it molds, let it air dry completely. Put into a food processor and make your own crumbs.
Any bread product can be used for crumbs.....bagels, bread or rolls.
Just make sure that they are hard as rocks and completely dried.
