$4.99 for a gallon of whole milk??!
Answers: Why are prices so high?. thanks :)
Ethanol, the great smoke and mirrors escapade thanks to the republican party. Ethanol uses corn, cows eat it. Demand is high becasue of ethanol production therefore milk is more expensive. Corn derived ethanol is one of the least efficient bio fuesl btw and will not solve the worlds oil needs..
Because of the gas prices. The truck loads it with milk and brings it to the store and it needs gas to run so they do all the other prices high.
feed prices, gas prices...everything that goes into getting that gallon to your grocer's shelves has gone up...
Cause it's the gas prices and it's whole milk not fat free.
I am paying that for 2%. I buy 7 gallons of milk to last the week. Someone is going to have to quite drinking so much milk. I figure it is due to diesel prices and also the feed being so high.
BECAUSE THE GASOLINE IS GOING UP, AND TO GET THE MILK TO YOUR LOCAL STORE THEY NEED TRUCKS TRUCK NEED GASOLINE, AND TRUCKS NEED A DRIVER, AND A DRIVER NEEDS PAY, AND DRIVERS ARE ASKING FOR A RAISE, ALSO ,MAYBE THE COWS ARE GIVING LESS MILK OR COW POPULATION GOING DOWN. I DON'T KNOW.
wats the question?
milk is good =)
