What are some good ideas to do with the 1/3 bushel of oysters left from dinner last night?!

Question: how to save or use without getting burned out on them.

Answers: how to save or use without getting burned out on them.

Steam em and freeze them decide later what to do with them !

Make oyster chowder and freeze some of it.

freeze... or olive oil minced garlic salt and pepper over pasta

thats like eating day old sushi

dangerous

throw them out

Bin them saving them will make you ill if you eat them after, they should be eaten on the day bought.

are they cooked? if not how about grilled oysters with lemon and white wine sauce, or oyster ceviche. if they are, how about chopping up the oysters and tossing them on a seafood pizza?

How about looking up a good soup to make??? allrecipes.com is my favorite site to find new and good recipes. You know you are getting a good recipe when there are many ratings and it has 4+ stars so you don't risk making a dish that isn't going to be good.

Chowdah!

cut them up and make a white sauce for pasta,
very simple; just get some butter in a pan (like 1/2 stick) get corn starch like 2 tbsp and a bit of water like 1 cup dilute the corn starch in the cold water first, then add it to the pan once the butter is melted season to taste add the oysters and voila over pasta!!!

INVITE SOME FRIENDS OVER...SOME MUSIC...WHITE WINE...CONVERSATION...PUT ALL TOGETHER...HAVE A PARTY! OR GRAB YOUR WIFE AND HAVE SEX WITH HER...USING THE FOOD AS FOREPLAY.
Just be creative and have fun.

Here's a simple dish that was pretty good that I tried in New Orleans.

I like this recipe since you don't have to completely shuck the oyster from the shell. You use the shell as a cooking vessel. Also, I don't like adding oysters to soups as in Oyster chowder or oyster dressing. Those kind of gross me out when oyster get cooked too much.

I would also add a little chopped green onions to the basic butter mixture below. I've also seen recipes where they also add a little shot of worcestershire sauce and tobasco to the oyster while its grilling.

How can you not like it - grilling, butter, garlic.

Grilled Oysters with Butter
Drago’s Restaurant in New Orleans

1 lb. butter melted & clarified
2 tbs. chopped garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
3 dozen oysters on the half shell

Open oysters and place on the half shell on the grill. Ladle butter mixture on top.

When cooked sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese & bit of chopped parsley on each oyster. Serves 36.

throw them, how can anyone eat something that looks like snot eeeuchhh.

very dangerous! get rid of them baby!
