What is the difference between salsa vs. picanti sauces??!

Question: Picante means spicy, so a picante sauce is a spicy sauce, regardless of what else is in it. (There should be an accent on the last e in picante)

A salsa is a mixture of diced vegetables or fruits. When you can a salsa, it becomes a sauce because the heat cooks it. Salsas don't have to be spicy, but most that you will find in stores will be spicy and made with tomatoes.

(If you see a black bean salsa, a corn salsa, or a cactus salsa, try them! Soooo good even if you aren't an adventurous eater.)
