What type of apples should I use to make caramel apples? Which ones taste the best and stay fresh the longest!


Question: We are holding a benefit in our office for the local soup kitchen. We are going to make it a spooky hospital and have all sort of snacks and things, and I am supposed to bring caramel apples. What sort of apples shall I use? What tastes the best and what will stay fresh the longest?

Granny smith apples ae the best because they are tart and very sweet!! The tartness of the apple compliments the sweetness of the caramel!! Yum!! They are so good!! Here's some recipes:

golden delicious r the best, and u can also get these wraps (carmel) in the produce section and u just put the wrap on the apple and pop in the oven! realy easy and yummy and they come with the sticks too! plan to make them for my sons Halloween party!

I like using Granny Smith apples because you get the tartness of the apples mixed with the sweetness of the caramel. MMmmm, Yum-O.
