How long can you keep a jar of spaggetti sauce after it has been opened before you have to throw it out?!

Question: I opened the jar of prego and cooked it. I added my own seasonings and garlic and stuff. Anyways, I put it back in the jar after dinner that night. How long is it good for?

When I have left over spaghetti sauce I put it in freezer bags and freeze it it will stay good for a couple of months at least

around 6 days

Until it gets funky, I'd toss it after a week.

Well I would keep it no longer that a week. It's been in the fridge this whole time right?

Three days is your safe bet. You could probably go 5 days but after that you are risking your stomach

Always read the label

I have not had any problems with close to 2 weeks as long as it is sealed tight and placed in the fridge. I do it often and do as you do with adding my own stuff to it. Yum.

How can you eat such muck in the first place, let alone a second time around.

I'm really sorry but that is AWFUL.

Bless your little tummy......!
