Where can I buy pain de mie bread, also known as pullman loaf, in the chicago area?!

Question: For a true pain de mie, I'd recommend checking with upscale "gourmet" grocers, such as:

Fox & Obel (http://www.fox-obel.com/)
401 E. Illinois, in River East neighborhood just west of Navy Pier

The Goddess and Grocer (http://www.goddessandgrocer.com/)
25 E. Delaware, in Gold Coast
1646 N. Damen, in Bucktown

Pullman loaf is the American approximation of pain de mie. A very close substitute to "real" pullman loaf would be Pepperidge Farms sandwich bread...it's square (from being baked in a closed-top pan) and not a sweet as Wonder bread & the like. As I'm sure you know, you can buy it at just about any grocery store (Jewel, Dominick's, etc.).
