A lot of things are wrong with a lot of common additives that they put into food. I will give you a link to look at that will be much more in-depth than I can be here...

I hope that helps!

Because they make food do things that nature did not intend. Bread should last a day, but with additives, it can last weeks. The taste and texture of that bread that will go bad the next day is significantly better than the bread that lasts weeks. It's a compromise.
If those chemicals can do that to bread, what's the long term impact on your body of consuming these products.

I also avoid prepared foods (which tend to be the ones with additives). Cooking with raw ingredients limits your exposure to additives.

chemicals! make the brain haywire and the kids out of order if they're eating E numbers and stuff in sweets and junk. not healthy.

they are used to make food look and taste better as well as last longer but these chemicals aren't intended for digestion. ur body cant digest them and they become toxins. over time this weakens ur body and makes u feel sluggish as ur body tries to clean itself of these toxins. they don't help u or make u healthier.

The bad thing about additives is they are usually, not always, a chemical based product, man made. For this reason they can actually change the way our bodies absorb nutrients. You want to try and keep foods as natural as possible. Hard to do now a days.
