How long should calves be raised on a nutritionally complete milk formula until they're what's for dinner?!

Question: I read that it was 18-20 weeks, but I'm not completely certain.

Answers: I read that it was 18-20 weeks, but I'm not completely certain.

If you are referring to veal, it is about 16 to 18 weeks. The calves would weigh about 400 to 450 lbs.

Male dairy cows are used in the veal industry because on a dairy farm you don't need to many bulls for breeding, in fact in the real world you don't need one at all. Many cows are artificially inseminated.
