Goji Berry's any good? have you tried them? what were the results?!

Question: I haven't used Goji berries, but I have used the Goji juice for a period of several months. I had been diagnosed with diabetes, Type 2, and decided that I would try the Goji juice because I was having trouble keeping my sugar levels down within the right range. I was a little apprehensive at first because the juice is quite sweet and I thought it might add to the difficulty I was having with my sugar. I didn't change any other thing in my diet. I was surprised a couple of weeks later when I discovered that my energy was way up and my sugar was staying in the normal range consistently. I drink about 4 ounces of Goji juice daily. It works for me and I have heard wonderful stories from others. I first heard about Goji juice when I read about it in a magazine in my doctor's office. I get my Goji juice from Puritan where I find it at the most reasonable price. It can be pricey in a lot of other places. I hope this helps.

I broke out in Gojis.

is that halli berrys sister??
damn she's fit..lol

Goji berries have an 'unusual' flavour and would be an acquired taste. They reminded me a bit of eating sweet tea leaves. I soak them & some dried cranberries in some apple juice for a day in a covered container in my fridge and used them for a topping for porridge with a little honey. Yum

Never tried on them on their own but I once bought a 'Goji Berry Bar' from my local health shop out of interest. It actually tasted really nice; chewy, not too sweet and even a little bit juicy (apple juice was in the ingredients).
At £1.69 it was a complete rip off though! Probably cos it's one of those products promoted by Gillian Mckeith (you know, that weasel-faced 'doctor' on TV), the money hungry cow.
It don't care if it's "Antioxidant Rich", I'm not paying that much again for one bloody cereal bar. Packet of raisins are much tastier anyway.
