I compared a box of Special K and Fruit Loops and wasn't all that impressed?!

Question: I was comparing the nutritional facts and they are so close or the same on nutrition. How then is special K healthier than Fruit Loops?

I hope this helps to answer your question.

Special K diet

Kellogg's claims that a diet including Special K cereal can help people lose weight; it bases this claim on independent research. In March 2007, an investigation by The Food Commission was unable to find any published peer-reviewed article about this research and Kellogs refused to provide details of the research data.

I compare the nutrition in cereal all the time.
There isn't a whole lot of diff in my opinion. The real diff is if all the so called added nutrients they claim to include are even beneficial.
like B12, thiamin and calcium.
I don't eat boxed cereal anymore because I don't think the shelf life with all the additives is good for you. And the outragous markup for cereal is a joke.
I agree w/the person above, Special K advertises their South Beach diet all the time, telling people if they eat 2 bowls a day they will lose weight. Bullcrp!
And if you eat cherrios everyday it will lower your cholesteral. Well if you stop eating eggs, sausage and a glass of milk in one sitting, you do the math.

Throw out both cereals and get Kashi. This is by far the best, healthiest, and really tasty cereal.
