The liquorice plant is a legume (related to beans and peas) and native to southern Europe and parts of Asia. Liquorice extract is produced by boiling liquorice root and subsequently evaporating most of the water (in fact, the word 'liquorice' is derived from the Ancient Greek words for 'sweet root'). Liquorice extract is traded both in solid and syrup form. Its active principle is glycyrrhizin, a sweetener more than 50 times as sweet as sucrose which also has pharmaceutical effects. G. uralensis contains this chemical in much greater concentration.
Liquorice flavour is found in a wide variety of liquorice candies.Liquorice is also found in some soft drinks (such as root beer), and is in some herbal teas where it provides a sweet aftertaste. The flavor is common in medicines to disguise unpleasant flavors.

Chococlate comprises a number of raw and processed foods that are produced from the seed of the tropical cacao tree. Native to lowland tropical South America, cacao has been cultivated for three millennia in Central America and Mexico, with its earliest documented use around 1100 BC. All of the Mesoamerican peoples made chocolate beverages, including the Maya and Aztecs, who made it into a beverage known as xocolātl, a Nahuatl word meaning "bitter water". The seeds of the cacao tree have an intense bitter taste, and must be fermented to develop the flavor. After being roasted and ground, the resulting products are known as chocolate or cocoa.

Chewing gum is a type of confectionery which is designed to be chewed rather than swallowed. Traditionally, it was made of chicle, a natural latex product, although for reasons of economy and quality many modern chewing gums use petroleum-based polymers instead of chicle. Chicle is nonetheless still the base of choice for some regional markets, such as in Japan.
Chewing gum, in various forms, has existed since at least the Neolithic period. A 5,000 year old chewing gum with tooth imprints, made of birch bark tar, has been found in Yli-Ii, Finland.
In 1848 John B. Curtis developed and sold the first commercial chewing gum called The State of Maine Pure Spruce Gum.

Maple flavor peanut creme clusters is my favorite candy, but just abt any chocolate w/nuts I like.

well the indians founded the coco bean, but i think that america used it and made it better and more edible.

i don't know who invented them but i like chocolate

wat's lickerish?

It's liquorice, not lickerish. It comes from the aniseed plant.

Great question, but I have no idea where they originated.

i like gum

Well I think liquorice=Europe?, chocolate=South America?, gum=Yli-Ii, Finland. I found the answers on Wikipedia so don't blame me.
