I have just moved house and in my garden there are raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, and blackcurrants.?!
Answers: I have just found a nice gardener by chance, and he makes wine. Do you think i have touched lucky or what?
You definitely touched lucky, whether you touch what, depends on how many glasses you have!!!
Yep! you lucky thing enjoy your yummy berries.
um sure
Wow you are very lucky! We have gooseberries in our garden but id love to have rasberries, bluberries & blackcurrants because they are tastier and so expensive to buy in the shops! Get picking !
You jammy thing!!!!!
yummy
try this one:
2 c. canned or frozen blackberries, thawed & drained
1 1/2 c. canned or frozen blueberries, thawed & drained
1/2 c. canned gooseberries, drained
1/8 tsp. almond extract
1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
Heat oven to 425 degrees. For filling, combine blackberries, blueberries and gooseberries in large bowl. Add almond extract, sugar and cornstarch. Stir thoroughly. Spoon filling into unbaked pie crust. Cover with top crust. Flute. Cut slits or prick with fork for steam to escape. Bake for 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool to room temperature
Offer to trade fruit for lessons in making wine. You could also just trade fruit for wine. You can also make home-made cordials, which are easy to make. Yes you got very lucky.
Lucky? Oh, yes, absolutely!!
I'd bet your neighbors who have gardens would love to exchange their bounty for yours come harvest times. That way you not only get better produce than at the supermarket, you get to know your neighbors and help build community, something we all need. A total win-win situation all around!
Plus, if your gardener will swap wine for your berries, all the better!
I moved in to a place once that had many sorts of fruit bushes and I used the gooseberries and currants for wine and the rest for eating. Gooseberry 'champagne' is particularly good.
You jammy thing. Do you want to swap homes?
You are SO lucky. Can I be your friend?
