What company or brand makes THE best tastiest CHOCOLATE ?!
Answers: Lindt, expensive but worth it!
Hershey, hands down!
Cadbury's. Does it hands down for me any day!
Bernard Callebaut or Lindt.
Ghiradelli, although Dove dark chocolate runs a VERY close second.
i second Ghiradelli. the dark chocolate espresso flavored makes me weak at the knees

Ghirardelli
Cadbury's 'Dairy Milk', first developed in 1905, is the UK's most popular chocolate bar. Milk chocolate is now the world's best-selling variety.
Godiva!
For me it's Cadburys. The absolute best!
scharffenberger chocolate
Great little independent chocolate company out of Berkeley CA. Unfortunitly Hershey bought them but the good thing is, they're letting them be themselves
As with many questions, the answer is really "it depends".
There are so many fine chocolates in the marketplace that it would likely take a lifetime to try them all. Now *that* would be a wonderful lifetime, for sure!
The "depends" part is whether you want to just cram a fistful of chocolate in your mouth or want to make (or bake) something with the chocolate.
As a baker, my favorites are Callebaut, Valhrona, Guittard and Scharffen Berger. But I'm certainly not above munching on a Hershey bar (extra dark with almonds!).
If you're ever in the Berkeley, California area, take the time to go on Scharffen Berger's factory tour. They still use antique equipment to make their chocolates, and it's a real lesson in technology. Plus they have tastings!!
BTW, some major producers of chocolate in the U.S. have petitioned the government (USFDA) to allow the use of vegetable oils in their products rather than real chocolate. This is a total travesty! Just one more way the corporations seek profit over all else, including quality.
If it ain't chocolate, don't put it in my chocolate bar!
