Do you eat 3 times a day?!
Answers: does everyone follow the recommended food servings on the food pyramid?
Somedays,it all depends how my stomach feels, somedays i only eat one time (usually lunch) and somedays i may not eat at all.I drink more than i eat. But i'm starting to follow the three meals a day thing.I think everyone should.
No, I try but usually end up eating some kind of snack. I try to make it healthy like fruit but sometimes ice-cream is just to tempting. (-:
i like never stop eating all throughout the day and i'm skinny as a twig. so i'd say the food pyramid isn't that important.
I try. If I eat a lot of sweets in one day, I try to balance it by eating veggies the next day. I eat a lot but I'm pretty skinny.
I find it hard to eat that many times a day. I usually eat once or twice.
but you're supposed to eat, ideally, something like 5 times? more than three I know.
Well there are conflicting positions on the food pyramid. The food pyramid is produced by the USDA, the United States Department of Agriculture. This causes a conflict of interest, as the USDA tries to promote and protect agricultrue in the US, and is not a health organization.
While it is not absolutely necessary to eat 3x per day, you have to look at what it does to your body chemistry as a whole, as it expects to get food roughly every 4-6 hours, hence the hugner pains if you don't eat. While the Food Pyramid is not the definitive source on healthy eating, you should look for moderation in what you eat and eat a balanced diet. Junk food may be bad, but in moderation its really not bad at all.

Criticism of the 1992 Food Pyramid
To many nutritional experts, the 1992 pyramid did not reflect the latest research on dietetics. Certain dietary choices that have been linked to heart disease, such as three cups of whole milk and a 8 oz. serving of hamburger daily, were technically permitted under the pyramid. The major points of criticism have been the pyramid's lack of differentiation within the protein-rich group ("Meat, Poultry, Fish, Dry Beans, Eggs, and Nuts"), some lack of clarity with regard to recommended serving sizes and the pyramid's lack of emphasis on whole grains.
Also, when compared with diets that are thought to be the most healthy (e.g. Macrobiotic diet), the quantities pyramid lists for each food type are completely different.
Some of the recommended quantities for the different types of food in the old pyramid have also come under criticism for lack of clarity. For instance, the pyramid recommends two to three servings from the protein-rich group, but this is intended to be a maximum. The pyramid recommends two to four fruit servings, but this is intended to be a minimum.[1]Another problem is that the pyramid does not distinguish between whole grains and refined grains. Since some vegetarian diets tend to be based on refined grains, it can skew perceptions significantly.
Notwithstanding such criticism, many agree that the 1992 USDA pyramid, as originally published, is a good guide to adequate nutrition. It helps people visualize the amount of food in each group that they need to eat in order to maintain their health, as it is easy to follow. If one or more important components are missing, one is able to fix it, and if they are overindulging in one or more components, they are able to reduce the amount easily.
No, twice at the most.
I eat more then three times a day and i eat fruits, vegetables, yogurt and oatmeal just about every day along with whole wheat grains and other things like that. Not everyone does but i try to sometimes.
